Quinnipiac River recreated on Beinecke Plaza

YALE NEWS  — On Earth Day, a river ran through Beinecke Plaza. It was the Quinnipiac River, actually, courtesy of hundreds of plastic water bottles, a Bethany artist and a large cistern of water.

CT HEALTH I TEAM — One thing that everyone agrees on: the Quinnipiac River is a lot healthier than it used to be. “It really was a cesspool,” said Mary Mushinsky, a state legislator from Wallingford and former science educator for the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association.

NEW HAVEN REGISTER — On a run through my Wallingford neighborhood last week, I noticed new signs on the catch basins telling residents that runoff drains to waterways and Long Island Sound.
